It is an exclusive, independently accredited, quality standard that assures you, our customer, that Tesco fruit and vegetables are grown in an environmental and responsible way. Each grower is independently audited and monitored regularly to ensure we continue to meet the exacting standard.
British Retail Consortium Global Standard BRCGS (Grade AA)
BRCGS’ Standards guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. Certification to BRCGS’ Standards is now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations.
Following the HACCP principles to ensure the management of product safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry
Red Tractor
Red Tractor is a food assurance scheme which covers production standards developed by experts on safety, hygiene, animal welfare and the environment amongst other things. The Red Tractor logo on pack means your food or drink has met these responsible production standards and is fully traceable back to independently inspected farms in the UK.
Field to Fork
The M&S certification focuses on reducing the level of pesticides used by its suppliers, employs practices to avoid food contamination, encourages production which benefits the environment and generally enhances the brand through rigorous food safety initiatives which embody the HACCP principles.
